WORKSHOPS Winter and Fall Workshops
'An instructor will do a
demonstration on Friday evening and on Saturday evening a critique.
The rest of the weekend participants will work on their own indoors in
the studio or outdoors en plein air.'

WINTER WEEKEND JANUARY 27, 28 & 29 , 2012 BARK LAKE Usually held at a resort setting in cottage country. There is an instructor available to assist the participants whether they are painting indoors or outside. On Sunday there is usually time for a critique. The winter workshop is usually held the end of January at Bark Lake.

SPRING WEEKEND MAY 27, 28 29, 2011 BRIDGEWATER RETREAT ls held at a resort location, provides demonstrations as well as painting time indoors and out. The demonstrations are usually done by artists who are members of the ECOAA. This allows the participants to gain teaching experience among people they know. FALL WORKSHOP SEPTEMBER 16, 17, 18, 2011 GENEVA PARK usually held the third weekend in September at the YMCA Geneva Park conference centre on Lake Couchiching , near Orillia. The fall workshop is a combined effort of the east central ontario art association and the central ontario art association. Participants choose from selected top instructors in their medium, or if they prefer, work independently. This is a social weekend, where old friends get together and new friendships are made. Both the ECOAA and the COAA hold their annual general meetings on this weekend. Saturday evening consists of a "walkabout" to view the work accomplished, followed by a wine and cheese with the braver performing skits or entertaining us with their many other talents. |

| FALL WEEKEND OCTOBER 12, 13 & 14 , 2012 Bark Lake , Haliburton Usually held at a resort setting in cottage country. There is an instructor available for the weekend to encourage participants and who will do a demo of his painting method on Friday evening and a critique of work on Saturday evening. On Sunday there is usually time for a critique. The Autumn Weekend is held the weekend after thanksgiving.
