Like last year, we will endeavor to have the jurying completed and acceptance of work advised to all participating artists prior to delivery of work to the gallery. Co-ordination of the collection of work for delivery by other members will be made on a best effort basis.

Please note: 
  • *NEW* The work will be juried online and the results will be emailed out on Friday April 1 at 5 pm. 
  • Should we have a live exhibition you must be prepared to ship or deliver accepted works. 
  • Work may be shipped ahead of time to the Show Chair - Sheila Davis. 
    • It must be properly wrapped and easily rewrapped for return.
    • The artist is responsible for shipping to and from the exhibition. contact Sheila Davis with any questions.
  • Your submission photo must be representative of the work being entered and that the work meets all the Conditions of Entry listed below. In the event there is a physical show: ECOAA  and the Jury reserves the right to reject a piece delivered to the Gallery if the piece was not fairly represented by the online photo and/or does not meet the conditions of entry or arrives damaged or otherwise, unhangable or unsaleable. 
  • Please bring a one page bio when you drop your work or upload one on the online Entry Form.
  • Print your labels. Attach them to the back of your paintings to be delivered to the Gallery. Make sure the info matches the Online Entry info. 


Conditions of Entry:


Conditions of Entry:
1. Open to ECOAA paid-up members only.
2. The original paintings must be solely conceived and created by the submitting artist within the last 18 months. Work completed during a workshop and/or under tutelage of an instructor is ineligible. Paintings derived or based on work by another visual artist are ineligible.  Works may be based on photograph(s) only if the original photograph(s) was/were taken by the submitting artist. The submitting artist must be the sole holder of copyright interest in the submitted paintings.
3. The work must not have been previously exhibited.
4. Up to two pieces may be entered. The maximum height AND width of either piece including the frame is 48”.  
Only two-dimensional work will be accepted. No photography.
5. A frame is optional. If unframed, the work must be on a gallery style support, canvas, or panel, minimum 1.5” deep with finished or painted edges.
6. Artwork must be ready to hang with a secure wire. See ECOAA’s website for details.
7. If desired, it is up to each individual artist to insurance their work while it is on the gallery premises.
8. All award winners will be notified.
9. The Gallery has no means to accept payment, the artist will be contacted IMMEDIATELY and determine how they would accept payment.  No HST and no Commission will be collected by the Gallery. If as artist pays HST, they should include it in the asking price. ECOAA will take a 20% commission. The artist will be required to remit the 20% back to ECOAA.
10. If the Sale originates from our website during show, the buyer will be referred to the artist who will handle the sale and remit 20% commission back to ECOAA.
10. Entries for jurying must be made online and photos of the work submitted online with a one-page artist statement and/or CV. See our website for sizing photos.
11. ECOAA Volunteers will be responsible for the hanging and display of the artwork. During the exhibition no artwork may be removed by the artist.
12. The Gallery holds the right to photograph artwork, to own any such photographs and to reproduce it for catalogues, promotions, etc.
13. Artists agree to have ECOAA photograph and reproduce artwork for the purposes of advertising, catalogues, promotions, and placement on ECOAA’s website, newsletter, and social media.
14. A non- refundable registration flat fee of $25.00 is required. 
15. Each artist may submit up to two works for jurying and hanging. Only this work is eligible for awards.
16. All art work must be for sale.
 
Bonus Option: Additional sales opportunity. In addition to the submissions for the juried show and awards, each artist may submit up to two additional pieces of work for the “Flat Rack”. This works is not eligible to win an award. It must be original work in any medium (no photography) but may have been exhibited before. Only two-dimensional work. It must be unframed and thin. Work on paper should have a backing provided; canvas board is fine; work on panel should not be thicker than ¼’’. Nothing larger than 25” high and 25” wide. These pieces must be presented in crystal clear sealed bags. Make sure your name and information are on the back and visible through the bag. It is understood that someone may decide not to deliver their “Flat Rack” pieces to the Gallery, if neither of their other pieces were accepted for the jurying and awards process. However, it is possible to have all work submitted for jurying and awards rejected and still be allowed to participate with the sale of up to two works for the “Flat Rack”. The organizing committee and the Gallery reserve the right to reject any work for the “Flat Rack” if in their opinion, the work is not appropriate.
The artist will be contacted immediately in the event of a sale and determine how they will accept payment. ECOAA will take a 20% commission on a sale.
