Demo Artist John David Anderson
John David is a veteran painter and instructor of plein air and studio painting in oils and Acrylics. His artistic focus is a contemporary approach to landscape and still life rooted in the colourist approach. Strong emphasis on engaging compositions, accurate values involving the character and movement of light through space is what you will see in his work. Confident, expressive brushwork is also a feature in John’s approach to painting. John paints in a broad range sizes from 6 x 8 plein air to 48 x 72 studio pieces. The Roberts Gallery in Toronto and the Double Doors Gallery near Barrie and the Southampton Art Gallery are his main exhibition spaces.
