Want to paint trees, rocks and water?!!
Member Tessa Clarke, is hosting TWO paint outs at her 20 acre home on Colonel By Lake on June 5th and August 21st.
Her spectacular property is a painters paradise with loads of trees, rocks and water. And for a change of scenery, there are beautiful gardens, farm equipment and an old tractor to paint.
Located just 5 mins from Hwy 15 and Hwy 401 artists can stay and paint all day. If traveling far, you are welcome to pitch a tent and stay the night. She has also kindly offered a spare bedroom if needed. (Please contact Tessa to arrange).
WHAT TO BRING:
Your own coffee mug, lunch/snacks, water/drinks, lawn chair and art supplies.
It is black fly and mosquitoe season so bug spray is highly recommended along with sunscreen and a hat.
Coffee and goodies will be served.
**DETAILS**
WHEN: June 5th and August 21st, 2024
WHERE: Near Kingston
Please see the members resources for her address and contact info
A little history about the lake. Colonel By Lake is the first lake on Rideau Canal system. The Kingston Mills Locks are at the southern end of the lake, for those who have not seen them, they are quite impressive. The big rocky outcrop in the middle of the property is called Esther Head, Esther was the wife of Colonel By.
Colonel By was in charge of constructing the Canal system.
