APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, September 21st, 2018
SUBMISSION DAY for PAINTINGS: Thursday, September 27th, 2018 12 pm – 2:30 pm
PICK UP UNSELECTED WORK: Thursday, September 27th, 2018 – 3:30 pm
OPENING AND AWARDS: Thursday, September 27th, 2018 - 3:30 pm
PICK UP UNSOLD WORK Monday, October 29th 2018 between 10:00 am and 12:00 noon
AT END OF SHOW:
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. Membership dues are paid prior to application September 21, 2018.
2. Maximum size accepted is 30” x 30” framed (or finished gallery canvas). This decrease in size will allow us to hang more paintings in the gallery.
3. The subject of all paintings must be ALGONQUIN PARK – landscapes, flora, fauna, buildings, and preferably name the location. Paintings only. No 3-dimensional work.
4. Entry is a $25 non-refundable flat fee for up to 3 paintings per artist. Application form must be received by Friday September 21, 2018, postmark date.
5. Artwork must be original (no prints), completed in the last 24 months, not entered in any other ECOAA show and not done under supervision.
6. There is a commission on sales of 30%. (Friends of Algonquin-25%, ECOAA-5%, and artist-70%). Please include the HST in your price if you remit.
7. Artists are responsible for their own insurance. Volunteers, Friends of Algonquin and MNR cannot be held responsible for loss or damage.
8. Unsold paintings cannot be removed from the exhibition prior to closing of the Show.
9. Paintings cannot be left at the Visitor Centre after pick-up day. If paintings are left, there will be a rental fee of $1.00 a day payable to the Algonquin Centre.
10. If you wish, bring a 1 page bio with your paintings, which will be for public to view.
11. Some paintings will be held in abeyance; in storage to replace sold work.
SELECTION OF PAINTINGS: Paintings will be selected by Visitor Centre staff and members of ECOAA on submission day Thursday, September 27th between 2 and 3:30 pm.
AWARDS: Awards are generously awarded by Gertrud Sorensen of the Couples Resort and will be presented by Gertrud at 3:30 pm. $500 Best in Show, $300 Second Prize, $200 Third Prize.
