Conditions Of Entry for the 2019 ECOAA Members Juried Exhibition
Conditions of Entry:
1. Open to ECOAA paid-up members only.
2. The original paintings must be solely conceived and created by the submitting artist within the last 18 months. Work completed during a workshop and/ or under the tutelage of an instructor is ineligible. Paintings derived or based on work by another visual artist are ineligible. Works may be based on photograph(s) only if the original photograph(s) was/were taken by the submitting artist. The submitting artist must be the sole holder of copyright interest in the submitted paintings.
3. A frame is optional. If unframed, the work must be on a gallery style support, canvas or panel, minimum 1.5” deep with finished or painted edges.
4. Artwork must be ready to hang with a secure wire. See ECOAA’s website for details. 5. Each piece of artwork must be identified with a label on the back.
5. Artwork must not exceed 36” wide and 60” high (including frame). Only two-dimensional work will be accepted. No photography.
6. At the Kawartha Artist Gallery and Studio artistic work is not insured. If artists want their work insured they must buy their own insurance against damage or theft.
7. All award winners will be notified. It is hoped they will be able to attend the opening reception and award presentation.
9. The Gallery will notify the artist of a sale by cash or cheque. Credit card sales must be handled by the artist themselves. Artists are to indicate if they charge HST on the label.
10. A one-page artist statement and/or CV may be submitted with the on-line entry or delivered in person or by email on or before July 25, 2019 to the Show Coordinator for inclusion in the Artist Biography binder.
11. The Gallery is responsible for the hanging and display of the artwork. During the exhibition no artwork may be removed by the artist.
12. The Gallery holds the right to photograph artwork and display it on the Gallery website.
13. Artists agree to having ECOAA photograph and reproduce artwork for the purposes of advertising, catalogues, promotions and placement on ECOAA’s website, newsletter and social media.
14. The Gallery reserves the right to close exhibitions to the public for limited periods of time.
15. Non-refundable registration flat fee of $20 is required.
